This one was aged in a Petrus Hogshead #3684 and then given a finish in a Sherry cask - only 100 bottles. There have been a couple of these Petrus casks from Bruichladdich that have slight sulphury notes and these are super popular and highly rated in Germany but are highly divisive as some people hate sulphury notes. On tasting there is a lot of cask influence from both wine and sherry and quite a chewy juicy mouthfeel. There is an umami note on the palate like beef stock powder then lots of sherry, dark chocolate and prunes, then long mouth watering fine Bordeaux wine finish that goes on for ages.
