Alas, 8 Doors Distillery has recently been built at John O'Groats which is pretty much the most Northerly point possible to build unless someone buys John O'Groats campsite. 8 Doors is still a few years from releasing any Whisky so for the time being Wolfburn is the most northerly distilled mainland Scotch available.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"otQkpb\" role=\"heading\"\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"otQkpb\" role=\"heading\"\u003eWolfburn was a little hasty rushing whiskies to market for cashflow and many were not great but there were a few great single casks including an Australian exclusive that were great and hinted at the potential of this distillery. This expression still tastes a bit young and has a bit of heat on the finish. Wolfburn has just released a 12 year old and a few limited releases that have caused a buzz - maturing whisky in the far north of Scotland requires patience and it may be that Wolfburn really shines at 12 years and older.
