7K Espresso Martini Cask 7KD083 Single Malt Whisky 46.9%ABV 30ml

7K Distillery named after the Hobart city postcode 7000 has now moved to New Norfolk 45 minutes out of the city. Its still one of the most fun and innovative distilleries in Australia making some of the best whiskies and gins in the land. 

This whisky was aged in a Port cask and then finished in an 'espresso martini cask'. Its not clear whether this cask was used to barrel age beans for Zimmah Coffee in Tasmania, or used to Barrel age 7k's delicious coffee liqueur or to barrel age Espresso Martini Cocktails or all three. Somehow the cask has been infused with coffee before being filled with whisky. I'd ask Tom at 7K but its Tasmanian Whisky Week at the time of writing so its a hectic time to ask.
