Official Tasting Notes:

Nose: Fresh-ground coffee, berry compote, salted treacle toffee, beachside woodsmoke and a hint of spiced biscuit.

Palate: A decadent deluge of fruit cake with hazelnuts, brown sugar and sea salt, plus a hint of orange zest and a chocolate ice cream finish.

One of my favourites

Normally I don't like wine barrel whisky but the Chichibu Red Wine Cask 2023 is one I grab every chance I can get.

Fantastic Service

I cannot speak highly enough of the concept, the product and the service from Horny Pony. It was bought as a gift after a recommendation and turned out to be perfect.

As Bold as Frankie.

This whisky is everything that Black Gate is known for. From the first sip it is an amazing burst of dark fruit and chocolate upfront developing into a peaty smoke and earthiness. The rich oily texture lingers, inviting you to come back again.
