The Italian independent bottler Hidden Spirits occasionally releases collections of exceptional whiskies with modern art on the label such as 'The Seekers' and 'The Poker Face Collection'. They are very limited, beautifully presented and the whisky is often mind-blowing. As a result they are highly collectable and increasingly difficult to actually taste as they are 'Objets d'Art'. This is a 20 year old Bowmore from a refill cask - the label has a painting by Severino Del Bono that has a girl with her eyes covered with orange slices and somehow this makes the whisky look a little like Fanta - not sure if it is an optical illusion. Complex fruity and delicate dram, subtle maritime oily notes, floral and tropical fruit, peat is refined and a little muted. One of only 108 bottles. Beautiful whisky, beautiful bottle - will likely regret opening this in a decade as I expect it will be worth a huge amount due to its quality, rarity and collectability.
I've actually been wanting to taste this so I can make up my mind to buy a bottle. When I found your site and saw it had this I immediately bought some tasting samples and absolutely loved it! Will definitely invest in a bottle
Heard for a while how good Littlemill’s can be. This SMWS 30yo certainly did not disappoint, the nose on this dram was amazing.
It was a flavour packed palete, that certainly stood out as such a fine whisky.
Thanks again Horny Pony for providing some banging drams, with a great service throughout
An absolutely amazing whisky, this Imperial 24yo was flavour heaven. Could see from the second it was poured into the Glencairn that it was something special.
Also the service provided by Horny Pony was brilliant, well recommended for anyone looking for trying some special whiskies.
Just wow. Gets better and better after about an hour, sweet, salty, dry finish and legs that take about a week to run down the glass. Mastery in a glass. Thank you HP for making it possible for me to try this dram.
