Cooley 21y/o 2001 Cask#144975 Archives Single Malt Irish Whiskey 55.7%abv 15ml / 30ml

Archives is a Dutch independent bottler well known for their website Whiskybase a shop and user created database and review site.  Archives is heavily collected in Europe and fans love the retro labels reminiscent of classic Italian indie bottles like the Birds series from Moon Imports. This Birds of the Orient series was bottled for the Taiwan market.

This single cask Cooley is a treat for Irish whiskey fans. Lovely fruity nose and palate - quite a bit of punch and a long finish. Love the fruit bomb and confectionary notes on this at cask strength - this is fun and a little bit volatile changed a lot in the glass it was punchy and powerful with lots of fruit and spice on the finish and then mellowed after some time in the glass with more tropical fruit and floral notes appearing.
