For a long time Edradour was known as Scotland's 'Little Gem' as it was the smallest distillery in Scotland and one of the prettiest. Edradour is no longer the smallest as there are at least 6 smaller distilleries and in 2018 Edradour expanded and added another stillroom 'Edradour 2'. This is a historic bottling as it celebrates the 200th Anniversary of Edradour and is also the inaugural bottling of a whisky distilled at Edradour 2. Also soon after the first distillation run was completed Edradour 2 has run exclusively peated Edradour which is known as 'Ballechin' and Edradour 1 exclusively unpeated so there will not be many 'Edradours' distilled at Edradour 2 as it now exclusively makes Ballechin. As a result many bottles of this whisky will remain closed as collectors items. Tastes like a liquid spiced gingerbread man with raisins as eyes.
