This is a special release for Chinese New Year matured exclusively in the best Oloroso Sherry Casks.  The most famouse sherried Scotch has lost its way in recent years and it costs thousands of dollars to get the limited releases that have the classic Sherried Macallan characteristics of yesteryear. Tamdhu is clearly trying to replicate classic Macallan and they are getting closer each year.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Warm spice with mature oak softened by orange cream and winter berries.

Palate: Depths of sherried oak, then candied citrus and crystalised ginger.

Finish: Luxuriously rich, with honeyed malt and lingering orange zest.
