Timboon Governor's Reserve - 50.2% ABV - 30ml

The July 2021 release of Timboon's top-level single malt, Governor's Reserve.

This is the second Governor's release for 2021, distilled 4 May 2017 and bottled 24 July 2021 at 50.2%. A release of just 158 bottles.

A collaboration between head distiller Josh Walker and Brand Ambassador Charlie Johnson, this was vatted from two ex-apera and two ex-tawny casks, one of which was peated.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Quite soft and plump, vanilla and loads of honeyed, sherry fruits.

Palate: Dried fruits, warming and full.

Finish: Rich maples, quite intense, mild oaky tannins draw flavours from your cheeks with the slight of peat on the end.

The Timboon distillery is located in Victoria's Western District, just off the Great Ocean Road. Located in an old railway shed, Timboon Distillery houses a popular restaurant spot and distilling has become an increased focus in recent years.
