Highland Park 14y/o 'Mjolner' Australian Exclusive Cask 56.5%ABV 30ml

Big and bold Highland Park bottled exclusively for the Mjolnir Viking themed restaurants in Melbourne and Sydney in 2019. A vatting of sherry casks to produce 1731 bottles mostly to be their house whisky at the restaurant. Its tasty but a bit of a devilish beast - some honey, heather, raisins, dark chocolate and hazelnut - bit of sulphur and smoke. At 56.5% the alcohol isn't that well-integrated and needs a minute and possibly a drop of water to open up. Cask strength whisky nerds and vikings will love this but it was probably too advanced for a restaurant chain and Thor fans that are casual drinkers - Its like a hammer blow if all you normally drink is bland, fruity 12 year old Speysiders at 40%abv.
