Kinglake 'Cool Rummings' - 63%ABV - 30ml

Distilled at Kinglake Distillery in Victoria - this single malt was finished in Aussie Rum casks from Beenleigh and bottled at cask strength. I visited Kinglake Distillery and was hosted by the awesome couple Sam and Chantal who run the distillery - couldn't leave without a few bottles - great value craft Aussie whisky.

Named for the masters of rum, the Jamaicans, who incidentally qualified for the bobsleigh in this year's Olympics for the first time since their famous 1988 entry.

Distilled in September 2019 and bottled in March 2022, this natural strength Kinglake expression was full-term matured in an ex-bourbon barrel that previously held Beenleigh rum for over twenty years. The outturn was just 167 bottles at 63% Alc./Vol.
