The Lakes Distillery is situated in the Lake District National Park in Northern England. The distillery has not been talked about until recent World Whisky results were announced naming one of the whiskies produced here as ‘Best In The World’. It’s generally at this turning point after receiving such a momentous award that the distillery gets rather popular and everyone wants to start talking about The Lakes Distillery and drinking what it produces.

The Lakes Whiskymaker's Reserve series returns for a sixth edition! No.6 is matured in a combination of Spanish Oak casks and American oak casks seasoned with Oloroso Sherry, Pedro Ximénez Sherry, and excellent quality red wine. The Whiskymaker's No.6 focuses on the wonderful wood spice notes, with a generous helping of juicy red fruit notes known to be found in this English single malt.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich and aromatic with oriental spice, marzipan with rose water, candied ginger and polished oak.

Palate: Rich and mellow with sun-dried Ajwa dates, toasted teacake, and hints of gentle spice.

Finish: Rich and complex with lingering spice.
