A legendary unicorn bottling from the soon to be revived dead distillery Port Ellen. This is liquid history and a peaty Islay Masterpiece from the Italian independent bottler Ernesto Mainardi who had two legendary whisky companies Sestante and Silver Seal. One of only 240 bottles. 60 bottles of these were relabelled and shared with Whiskybase to celebrate their first birthday and many were drunk - one of those bottles was enjoyed at Archie Rose Bar in Sydney. Amazing mouthfeel - Citrus, almonds, green tea, apple pie, vanilla, salty butter - peaty finish.

My husband has talked about this whisky forever, and a full bottle was too elusive - therefore getting the Dram was perfect. He was completely thrilled, and now no longer needs to wonder what it’s like! He described it as “incredible, highly unique, subtle, but strong, with an long finish”.
